Primoris Design & Construction

We have extensive experience in the early project development phases (FEL 1, FEL 2 and FEL 3), helping clients develop and evaluate their projects, by providing conceptual designs, capital cost estimates, and utility/energy consumption to find the most cost-effective solution. We provide these services for both grass roots and brownfield expansion projects and have the capability to continue the project through EPC execution. All of these services can be provided under one contract, on a reimbursable, fixed price or hybrid contract basis.

Our engineering services also include a fully integrated surveying and mapping team that specializes in laser scanning, topography survey, corridor survey, drone imagery, and construction staking. We work closely with our clients and provide these services very early in the planning/feasibility phases of the project, ensuring no surprises develop during FEED or execution.

Dairy Farm Waste to Diesel Fuel

This Biogas to Liquids Plant is a new 30 BPD renewable diesel facility. Primoris Design & Construction was awarded engineering, procurement, and fabrication services. The facility converts methane from dairy farm digesters into renewable diesel fuel and stabilized naphtha. The project includes Syngas Unit, GTL Section, and Fractionation Section. This process significantly reduces the impact to the environment by increasing the sustainability of the dairy farm and producing high-quality transportation fuels with zero sulfur emissions. In addition to dairy farms, these units can be installed at any biogas source, including swine farms, poultry farms, landfills, food waste facilities and wastewater facilities.

Gasoline Desulfurization Unit (GDU)

Primoris Design & Construction performed FEL 2, FEL 3, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, and Field Support for the 16,500 BPD GDU project. The purpose of this FCC GDU is to reduce the sulfur content to 10 ppm, while minimizing octane loss, of three different composition FCC gasoline feed streams and a straight run naphtha feed by utilizing Axens’ Prime G+ Technology. The process uses a selective catalyst in a Selective Hydrogenation Unit (SHU) Reactor maintaining octane which then passes through the Hydrodesulfurization Reactor (HDS Reactor) where sulfur is removed while olefin saturation is kept to a minimum in order to retain octane. Following distillation and further desulfurization, the products are then used directly as a gasoline blending stock.
