GRDA Unit 4 Simple Cycle Power Plant

The GREC Unit 4 project will be the first of its kind to operate in simple cycle in the U.S., providing operational flexibility and fast start-up times to meet the needs of GRDA’s evolving grid and its customers. It will replace the center’s last remaining coal-fired unit and supplement wind production.

Unit 4 will also include the world’s largest selective catalytic reduction system, crucial for reducing nitrogen oxide emissions and ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
